In our March Newsletter, contributor and Saint Olaf Member, Dana Wickland, asked everyone to think about what being revived means:
"Revive -
1. To restore to consciousness or life, become active or flourishing again; 2. To restore from a depressed, inactive, or unused state; to bring back; 3. To renew in the mind or memory
(Synonyms: resuscitate, reawaken, rekindle, recharge)
To have our faith and hearts awakened by our Great God would free us. Free us of our fear, free us to fully and uniquely serve and honor God, serve and love our families, and serve and love each other.
Our freedom begins from our hearts. God uniquely values and loves each of us. Therefore, let us wake up and allow God to use us. Serve God with “your” unique talents and gifts.
A revival is an awakening, so take hold. The time is like no other and we are like no other. When you crave to be closer to God, He is ready to renew and rekindle your fire!" ~Dana
Dana, then, asked that readers, if they felt so moved, to send a note - just one word- to describe what God means to you so we can all see what God means to each of us. You can post your word here, message it to this page, or email it to saintolaflutheran@gmail.com.
Thanks for letting us know what God means to you! ... See more
